I am responsible for several recent or coming Workshops and Conferences

• Every year I am (co-)chairing the conferences Winter School GEOMETRY AND PHYSICS , held in the Czech Republic, Srni. The next one will be on January 17-24, 2026.
• The last traditional conference Differential Geometry and its Applications was held at the Masaryk University, July 7-12, 2025, also touching the 35 years of the journal and 65th birthday of myself.

• September 2024, Cambridge, UK
  I had an invited talk Curved translation principle in generalized conformal calculus (see the video of the chalk talk there), within the special program Twistor Theory at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge.
• September 2023, Brno, Czech Republic
  I was one of the main speakers on the Traning school on Cartan Geometry, a Calista COST Action project event organized by the Masaryk University. I gave three hours of lectures Cartan geometry via Algebra I, II, III (video available on this YT channel)
• September 2022, Bergen, Norway
  I was among invited speakers at the conference Geo2Int (Workshop in Geometry and Geometric integration). My talk was devoted to the "nearly invariant Calculus" developed over years with Andreas Cap, see the slides.
• September 2021, ESI, Vienna
  I was among invited speakers at the activity Geometry for Higher Spin Gravity: Conformal Structures, PDEs, and Q-manifolds, My talk was Calculus on Symplectic Manifolds .
• August 2021, SCREAM Workshop, Ilawa
  I was giving an invited public talk (for mathematicians and biologists) at the opening workshop of the activity Symmetry, Curvature Reduction, and EquivAlence Methods My talk was The Geometry of Diffusion Tensor Imaging .

Others

• May 30, 2023, Informal party and gathering at the department
  After my last director's report at the Department Assembly, I through a small party (as a "director farewell", but also as my postponed birthday party). In the beginning, I tried to perform about 20 minutes of mini-recital together with Giulio Lo Monaco, our recent graduate, at the piano.
  I tried to explain diverse emotions/reasons when introducing the individual pieces (Schubert, Eben, Martinu, Verdi). They are captured in the above recording, too, except the very first one, Schubert's Erlkoenig on the famous and emotional Goethe's poem. Here I mentioned, how much I felt as the worried child there, when going through the discussions preceding the dean's decision on the new director, but also how I was worried not to have behaved as the father when I was dealing with the fears of others, earlier during my term.
• September 25 - October 1, 2015
  I had two hours of invited lectures during the Australian Maths Society Meeting in Adelaide, see the slides . I also gave part of the Musical Recital after the Terence Tao's public lecture there. Together with the pianist Ray Booth of Adelaide, we performed pieces by Schumann and Curschmann in the first block, while Dvorak and Glinka appeared in the second block. Enjoy!
