The IBM techexplorer Hypermedia Browser is available in two editions: a no-charge but licensed Introductory Edition and the commercially available Professional Edition. In this section we discuss the features of each.
The Introductory Edition is a viewer for a large subset of TeX, LaTeX, and AMS-LaTeX, as well as for MathML, the Mathematical Markup Language.
The particular features that techexplorer supports for each of these markup languages are described in the Compatibility section. The Creating documents section describes the basic document structure and the new features that techexplorer adds for electronic interactive publication of scientific and technical documents.
The basic features provided by the Introductory Edition include:
<mrow> <mi>a</mi> <mo>=</mo> <mrow> <mfenced open="[" close="]"> <mtable> <mtr> <mtd><mi>x</mi></mtd> <mtd><mi>y</mi></mtd> </mtr> <mtr> <mtd><mi>z</mi></mtd> <mtd><mi>w</mi></mtd> </mtr> </mtable> </mfenced> </mrow> </mrow>
