An important international event, the Training school on Cartan Geometry, took place at our department in the period September 4-8, 2023. This event was financed through the COST programme and we were asked to run it since the worldwide expansion of the Cartan Geometry was based essentially on the research in our community (Brno, Vienna, and Prague) in the last 30 years. More then 60 participants came mostly from abroad (Austria, Belgium, Belorussia, Bosna and Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Israel, Luxembourg, Macedonia, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, USA).
