Transformations of linear Hamiltonian difference systems are investigated. Conditions which guarantee that a given transformation preserves oscillatory properties of transformed systems are established. An additional assumption is found which implies that the recessive solution is transformed into a recessive solution. The obtained results are applied to higher order Sturm-Liouville difference equation to prove a generalized reciprocity principle.
