The conference will be held in honour of the 65th birthday of Dr. Ivan Chajda, Professor of Algebra at Palacký University. Professor Ivan Chajda has made many significant contributions, and sponsored numerous students, in his research areas of general algebra and ordered sets.

The traditional Summer School on General Algebra and Ordered Sets will be held at hotel Podlesí, a nice place in Czech-Moravian Highlands near Žďár nad Sázavou, from September 3 to September 9, 2011. The conference site is accessible by train/bus or car, and there is a hotel parking place available (Hotel Podlesí web page (in Czech only), map, phone: +420 566 664 477). The hotel is located near Devět skal (836 m), the second highest peak of Czech-Moravian Highlands, and is ideally situated for afternoon walks.
Accommodation will be reserved in hotel Podlesí. Each room will be shared by 2 persons (optionally, single rooms and rooms for 3–4 persons will be available), and has a shower and WC. All participants are expected to have full board in the hotel restaurant. The first meal served will be supper on September 3rd, and the last meal will be lunch on September 9th.
The participants are supposed to arrive on Saturday, September 3 in the afternoon. The six-day scientific schedule will run from Sunday, September 4 to Friday, September 9 with no scientific program scheduled for the afternoon. The conference language will be English. The conference schedule will consist of invited one-hour lectures and 20 to 30-minute talks by the participants. A videoprojector, an overhead projector and a board will be available (presentations in PDF are preferred). We plan organize a free day with a conference trip on Wednesday.

Unfortunately, there are no direct connections to the region from major cities, so going by train to Žďár nad Sázavou is recommended.

A special bus which takes the conference participants to the hotel will depart from the train station in Žďár nad Sázavou at 17.00.

Registration at the hotel will be opened at 14.00.
Optimal connection variants will be announced at the conference site.
