As previously announced,
Masaryk University in Brno, together with further
institutions, organizes the next traditional conference in the series held
regularly each three years at some of the Czech universities. The Organizers
are pleased that about 190 participants have registered.

The services for the accompanying persons will be ordered and paid upon arrival (e.g. excursions and parties). However let us know, please, how many extra breakfasts and lunches you wish. If you strictly require vegetarian food (or another type of a special diet), please let us know in advance.

At present, we have displayed an updated list of

of all contributions (a "gzipped" version of the same Postscript file is here; this is the
.dvi file). (This text will be among the materials distributed at the
registration desk.)

The conference will be held in the lecture rooms of the Faculty of
Informatics, Masaryk University, Botanicka 68a, Brno. The main lecture
theatre offers a wide range of technical presentation tools, blackboards and
overhead projectors will be available in all lecture rooms.
Informal seminars
organized spontaneously by the participants will be welcomed and the
Organizing Committee will provide a seminar room on request.
The posters should be prepared in advance, please prepare about 3-6 standard
A4 pages. No technical facilities (printers, copy machines, etc.) will be
provided, as a rule.

The prices for one-way ticket are as follows:
bus Prague -- Brno about 140 crowns
train Prague -- Brno about 130 crowns (+ EC or IC supplement 60 crowns)
bus Vienna -- Brno about 170 Austrian Shilling
train Vienna -- Brno about 250 Austrian Shilling (+ EC supplement).

The current exchange rate is about:

We have displayed a

in which the main points related to your travel are marked.
Someone from the organizers will await the participants at the train and bus
connections marked with "***".
The tickets of the Brno city transport are to be bought in advance. They are
available in slot machines, kiosks and some shops (also at the driver with
some supplement). The simple fare is 8 Czech crowns (valid for 30 minutes).
The way to the hostel is carefully described below. The TAXI servis in Brno is
reasonably reliable.
On August 9, Sunday:
From the main Railway Station you can use tram Nr. 12 and 13 (the
destination is "Kralovo Pole"), the name of the tram stop where you should
get off is "Klusackova". It is the 7th stop after the main Railway
Station.

On August 10, Monday:
Later on you can registrate at the Information Desk of the Conference
at the same location, during the lectures.

All payment should be finalized in the course of your registration. Please
do not use credit cards.
The e-mail messages for individual participants, if sent to
"dga@math.muni.cz" during the conference time, will be forwarded to the
addressee.

TRIP Brno-Prague-Berlin:
The agency TA-SERVICE (Vystaviste 1, 6648 33 Brno, fax
(+420-5)-42218235), in cooperation with the organizers, offers a guided trip by bus
with a short stay in Prague, followed by the transfer to Berlin with a stop in Dresden on
Monday. The group of at most 15 persons
will leave Brno on Saturday, August 15, in the morning and the arrival to Berlin is planed in
the late afternoon on Monday (August 17, 1998). The trip includes
REGISTRATION OFFICE
At the registration you will get the Scientific Program and all necessary
information. Please, let us know as soon as possible if you do not agree
with the inclusion of your full address into the printed conference
materials.
The Registration Office of the Conference will work in
the Student Hostel, Kounicova 50 from 12.00 to 22.00. It will be located in
the ground-floor near to the reception desk (where you can get your
accommodation at any time).
The Registration Office will work in the Campus of the
Faculty of Informatics, Botanicka 68a, Brno, from 7.00 to 13.00. The campus
is located very close to the Student Hostel (2 minutes walking distance),
you may get detailed direction at the reception desk of the hostel.
PROCEEDINGS
The contributions to the proceedings, except the invited ones,
should have about 10 pages in one of the standard Tex formats (LATeX
article.sty or AMSTeX amsppt.sty). They will be all peer reviewed.
The deadline for the contributions is OCTOBER 15, 1998.
We prefer the electronic submission of the contributions, best by e-mail to
"dga@math.muni.cz".
MISCELLANEOUS
