O. Franěk in [1] described in detail several unsuccessful attempts to establish a technical educational institution in Brno and the establishment of the Technical College in 1849. He described then the development of the German Technical University to the end of 19th century. After 1899 he paid attention to the development of the Czech Technical University and he alluded to the German Technical University only marginally.

     Karl Hellmer, professor of mechanics at the German Technical University, described in [2] the history of  the school from 1849 until 1899, when the establishment of the school was celebrated. Alfred Haussner, professor of mechanical technology, completed in [2] the development untill 1924. We can find in both works the lists of professors, assistant professors and in [3] assistants.

Hugo Traub in [4] described the establishment of the Brno Technical College and dealt with the bilinqual problems in the beginning of the teaching. Alois Naske in [5] described the great celebration of the establishment of German Technical University in 1899.
