A note on the time scale calculus of variations problems

Abstract

In this note we give a comparison of optimality conditions for time scale calculus of variations problems. In particular, we examine the optimality conditions for problems without the shift in the state variable in comparison with the known results for problems with shift. We show a simple transformation how to transfer from one type of problem the another one, which is particularly useful on the level of the corresponding Jacobi equations.
